The Cherrios Box Top Offer of 1947..
For those of you who are over 55....
Pretty much ALL the Lone Ranger Fronteer Town (1950s Cheerios Cereal Offer) is included on our Buildings CD

Thanks to (non list member) Jerry Williams for the high res image.. This 1947 Western Town was the spark of life for the birth of Fiddlers Green some 35 years later. It was also yours truly's first and only indulgence in MAIL FRAUD when he KNOWINGLY sent in a Cherrios box BOTTOM as well as the box top to score an extra set of models. (along with a quarter which was that week's allowance!)

I remember that set well......My father and I (he would put them together and I would watch) built the whole set together....There was
also another set of houses that were inside the shredded wheat boxes...If my memory is correct, shredded wheat boxes later had a Red Rider Indian Lore series of cards....All the models were printed on the cards that separated the layers of shredded wheat...There were three shredded wheats to a layer and my father would not do the next house until we finished each layer of the cereal and got to the next card....What a bummer..It had to do with not wanting the individual pieces getting crushed. What a pleasant childhood memory you churned up...Thanks...Barry
