One of the guys over at the Axis & Allies Miniatures board has started to talk up FG models as scenery and "proxy" units for the game.

If I can get a WSAM percetage on the C-47 and reduce it to 1/120, I'm thinking about trying to rig one with a pusher-mechanism inside for real paratrooper-drops over the gaming table...

C-47 is approx 1/60 so reduce it by half.

Another note in this vein, not FG but cardmodels in general: Microsoft's got one online where each piece of a puzzle you solve gives you another page toward a "Server Farm" model, and then you have to use some pieces of the model to solve the final puzzle.

Yeah, I know--I'm no M$ fan myself--but who am I to argue with an opportunity to turn my brainteaser-time into frequent-flyer miles?
