I have mentioned this before and didnt get much response......or something....maybe i didnt follow up...any way i aint sure....but i would like to open another Forum very soon titled POTM.....i need some input from you other guys and gals about rules and the such.....i am a great fan of FG and am trying to enhance our forum and the FG site....soooooo....i would like for the models that are to be entered to be FG models....if that isnt acceptable then maybe have 2 POTM....one of an FG model and one from anywhere else.....i think we can make this work....there would need to be some volunteers to help judge the entries sent in.....maybe 3 to 5 regular contributors ....let me know what ya think....

I like the idea of FG models. Kind of keeps it in the family. Plus we might be able to get photos of models from the different categories of FG like glider, early, jet, etc. Great idea.

You might consider, at least to start, picking the model of the month from the "Look What I Built" forum. Might be a way to build interest. Bill

sounds good but what if we dont get a pic from every category?

and we need some entry rules...such as:

the same person cant win each month/week. Maybe only once in 12 months.

It need to be a new build , one that has been completed after we start the POTM....

Maybe we can do it according to experience......newbie........2-5 yrs......5 yrs on.....

Name of the forum????

we want to do it weekly or monthly.....

how many judges ?

got any suggestions for rules or guidelines?

i realize that there hasnt been much response to this poll...but i still intend to try it...maybe it will start off slow and build from there...maybe it will crash and burn....but i will never know unless we try...

how 'bout doing a different category every week? so in that case, you would announce the category for that week on monday, and have all pictures entered by Saturday, then the wining picture would be put up on sunday. might be to complicated though... :? also announcing the category at the beginning of the week would possibly motivate modelers to build form that category........thus probably eliminating the possibility of not having a picture from that category.

Great idea, Possm! :) :) Only FG models and only one per week, without difference from which category. Good modeller can be showed at the most simple model as well. I'm in... :D

Possum..Maybe run a test for a week or two, restricted to FG models at least at first. See what the response will be. You and the judges can determine from this response how best to set up the forum and how entries should be submitted as well as how to categorize them . Judges need to have some "practice" so they can decide on judging points. Probably going to be a work in progress. Should be fun...
