Fiddlers Green

Not sure which of you have the keys to the FG website proper, but here's the idea:

There is no overestimating the value of seeing the finished model from multiple angles, to say nothing of seeing the model in its interim construction phases, as an aid to construction. This forum has a wealth of such pictures - but finding them is a problem!

The FG website already has a "More Information" section for each model; what I propose is adding to that "More Information" section a sub-section called "Gallery" which would contain pictures submitted by builders. If it could be worked out so that builders could post their pictures directly to the website - as they do in the forum - safely, so as to prevent spam and other problems, it would save the FG webmaster having to do all the work.

The bottom line is that when a builder wants to tackle a new model, he/she will know that any pictures of that model, either under construction or finished - by multiple builders - will be easily and rapidly accessible in the "Gallery" sub-section of the "More Information" section. Seeing the product of MULTIPLE builders also provides insights into how various "fiddly bits" and difficulties were met by different imaginations, greatly increasing the store of general "how-to-do-it" knowledge.

There's a lot of excellent imagery already in this forum that could seed those "Galleries" - the recent JU-88 build is an outstanding example of what I'm talking about.
