There are many of us out here who are using upscaled paper model plans to build RC planes. I think a forum dedicated to such a topic would be interesting to all.

Thanks for all the models,

Pat

Good idea! One of my wintertime project goals is to build a flyable RC from ZipZap, MicroRacer, etc. components.

It's been done.
There are many successful example out there (see http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=85).

After that, I plan on putting the thing into some FG designs. Don't know how feasible it is, but it'll be fun trying.

And us who fly U-control and powered Free Flight? If a forum is formed for flying card models, I would suggest it be open to all forms of flying models.

I would suggest to start posting in the RC Models Forum, to start with. If there is sufficient interest in one or more specific types, I'm sure that the admin could be persuaded to establish separate forums for the particular interests.

Maybe the RC Models Forum could be (temporarily) renamed the "Fly What You Build" Forum?

Or how about the "Building 'em to really fly!" forum?

Has a nice ring to it, I think.
