Sikorsky S-55
Having worked out the major problems with the S-51 (next FG release), the Sikorsky team punched out 1281 S-55s. Often these helicopters were used as a plane guards during flight operations from aircraft carriers. They were responsible for saving the lives of many aircrew who crashed at sea. Included with the four S-55, are a couple rescue types and an optional set of floats. You can display this model with the clam-shell doors open and the PW engine on view. The rotors rotate and there's even a tiny winch over the door.. See it? (model thanks to Dick doll)
