I've discovered a way to make clear canopies & windshields for my Fiddlers Green Models. With a little practice they are pretty easy to make. Some are easier than others. Following is a link to my site with some pictures of some of my models and some pictures of how to make these canopies.

Hope this is something you can use to further enjoy your fiddlers green models :D

I"m ready to try this....but:

What kind of glue do you use to hold the "plastic" canopy to the paper model?

Hey Tim,

I use Testors Plastic Glue, That is the name brand but I think any Plastic glue used for plastic models would work fine. I spread a thin bead around the under side of the canopy. Seems to work and hold fine.

Good Luck!!! I think it makes a world of difference to the models.

I just checked out your Jul 15 post..By Golly a lot of us will never be the same. Those canopies look great!!! I don't think I will ever be satisfied with a printed canopy again. Thanks for the instructive photos....Bill :D

Hi Guys, :D

Glad you are interested in building Clear Canopys. Some are harder than others. The one on the Red Arrows "Hawk" is a BEAR!!!!!

A couple that would be a good start is the Mig-3 or even the Mig-15.

SOOooo....Let's Go Modelin!!! :D
