Here are some things I do in building card stock aircraft.

I use a black King Size Sharpie on the cut out parts to take the white off the edge. I measure the size of the wheels on the landing gear and use flat rubber faucet washers for tires. Sharpie has a silver pen that can be used on tooth picks on the landing gear to strengthen them. Where there is a landing gear that has the green on it, I use a Expo light green pen on the tooth picks. The green you see on some parts is a special rust preventive paint. Last on bie-wing planes I use the ties from the super market's product dept. They can be trimed to fit any strut. The small wire helps strengthen the struts.

One thing I forgot in my last posting was that I use cotton balls in the wings of larger aircraft like the B-17 to keep the wing firm and they glue together easier.

Thanks Jim for the ideas and advice. I'll have to hunt down a silver sharpie. I never thought about cotton balls for wing tips. That would work on my Piper Cub where I am having that problem. Thank you. wc

I have stuffed kleenex and napkins inside both wings and fuselages. It can keep them from becoming too deformed.
