Hi guys,

Has anyone built the Cessna 152 or 172? If so, did it go together fairly easily?

I was given the opportunity to sit in the left seat and man the controls of a Cessna 172 Skyhawk for an hour last weekend and would like to build a model to remember the experience.

It looks like one of the older kits, but seems pretty straight forward. If I were building it I would laminate some card stock to all flat surfaces, and figure out a way to put a spar in the wing to keep it from twisting.

Thanks, Beard. I'll give 'em a try!

It is a fairly straight forward build. I've built about 25 of the 172 kit. The best suggestions I can make is to add some weight to the nose, like a lead fishing sinker, and to use some wire for the main landing gear legs. I usually just straightened out a large paper clip, then bent it with pliers to match the right bends.

Thanks, Willygoat.

I'll post some photos when done.
