I'm sorta new to paper models, been around plastic and wood for quite a while, but I'm on only the second (and a half) paper model I've ever done. (the first was a green train like the Mallard way back when I was 5 that I taped together with my mom, the half comming from a prototype cardstock version of an East Broad Top Railroad 3-bay hopper, which if I ever measure out and make an official version of, I'll find somewhere to post photos here and send it to the owner guy. -still new, not sure of his name)
So far, I've been using elmers, and taping the parts until the glue dries, but that's with mixed results. On the prototype hopper, I used glue sticks, but it fell apart eventually, as I knew it would. (wasn't supposed to last longer than enough to be a proof of concept, and the "production" ones would need to be a little more refined and have a wood frame through the middle for the Lionel Trucks)
Any idea of the cost of the correct glues, though? (right now, I have Testors Model Cement, Testors Plastic Cement, (that's basically a plastic weld that melts and welds styrene for scratchbuilding) wood glue, testors non-toxic model cement, (I HATE that stuff-all it does is run) white glue in large ammounts, a small thing of crazy glue and some specialty glue that I bought for a resin boxcar kit that nothing can glue but it)
