Just got a European model, and it calls for .5mm a 1mm cardstock. I have looked at a couple of charts but am confused as to the lb equivalent. What weight cardstock are these approximately equal too?

Thanks

That conversion always confused me. When a model calls for .5mm or 1/2mm stock, it usually does not refer to paper. In most cases, it refers to cardboard/chipboard. Usually, cereal box cardboard is about .5mm. The backing board from legal pads etc is about 1mm. You can actually get chipboard in different thicknesses from some online card model sites. I know papermodelstore.com has some.

If you want to laminate card stock to get thicknesses, I think it's about 4 sheets of 110# is just shy of 1mm.
