I don't think I want to know the details of HOW you found out how sharp those scalpels can be.... <ouch!>

Hey, Little Fiddle,

As a retired biologist, I know LOTS about the sharpness of scalpel blades. And they're most dangerous when you change blades! (keep band aids at hand)

And as a biologist, I really do like the bit of animation you are using as an avatar.

Bob

I've found a few problems trying to use scalpels... first off they're designed to be a one-time use thing, so they're often not made of any kind of hardened metal and go dull really quickly... not a problem if you have a big stack of them laying around I guess..

The other problem I've had is that they're SO sharp that sometimes they tend to 'pathfind' by digging too deeply into whatever you're using as a cutting board and wandering off the line you're trying to cut.

Neither problem is insurmountable, but if you find yourself getting frustrated, try something with a little thicker metal and not quite as sharp..
