Not even finished with my first FG model (J3 Cub), and it's allready been volunteered by my more considerate half as a baby shower gift for my new nephew(pending.) Figured I would go ahead and work up a mobile using it, Travel Aire Mystery Ship, maybe a GeeBee, and something else. Was then informed by the "design consultant" that the something else needed to be a bright blue color for stimulation of pending young mind. So here's the question; What FG plane would fit well with the three listed above, comes with a bright blue paint job, and builds fairly quickly. (Please no bi-planes) Not familiar enough with all the repaints that are available to know where to start.

Thanks all.
-Philip

If you're willing to have bright yellow wings with a blue fuselage there's a version of the Bowers FlyBaby with that scheme. The Fairchild PT-26 also looks like an easy build with a blue fuselage & chrome yellow wings.

While not in keeping with the civilian light plane motif, there's no better all blue scheme than a Blue Angels craft, and there are several to choose from in the FG stable, the Douglas A4 perhaps being the prettiest (and an uncomplicated build, if the gear is left retracted).

If you've got something like Photoshop, there's also a beautiful all red DH Chipmunk that a simple hue change in Photoshop would render all blue.

Hope this helps ---

Thanks for the advice, downloaded the Fly Baby last night and the blue and yellow scheme is going to match perfectly! Baby development specialist (snicker) seemed pleased too! :)

Buy some bright blue cardstock and print your models in B&W.

Then Everything you make will be blue!
