PMI never went out of business, actually, but was liquidating its inventory as Lou prepared to retire. Anyway, I've stepped in and bought the entire enterprise from Lou, complete with its massive laser printer ($2,000 already just to restock all its infinite color modules and toner cartridges).

It'll be a few months before I've got the paper catalogue updated, but anyone desiring the existing catalogue (or a new one when they're ready), just drop an e-mail to pmi@papermodels.net.

It's a good thing I've got a large hangar because even depleted, the inventory is still over 16,000 models, in piles of boxes completely surrounding my Cessna 180 at the moment!

As always, I'll be able to offer laser printed print FG models, in any size up to 12" x 18" (or on the backs of matchbook covers for Lep), and can guarantee proper proportionality and no cutoff edges for whatever scale is desired.

I'll be exploring putting FG models on silvered cardstock, and when I've got that worked out so the quality is consistent and acceptable, I'll put such models on offer (for a premium above the standard price - not sure yet what the premium will be but it'll be more or less whatever the increased cost of the silvered cardstock works out to, plus a small percentage for profit).

I'm glad you have made this decision, as it was a sad day when I heard about the closure.
I don't know how everyone keeps coming up with the "Lep Syndrome", really I don't.

Wow Mark, thanks for taking this on. I too was sad when I heard that Lou was selling off the inventory. I had just ordered a couple of models from him when he announced it. I know that PMI is in good hands. You have been a stand-up guy here, and that says something to me any way. I will for sure be ordering things once you get up and rolling. Thanks!!!!!!
