You don't have to wait for that. Go to "my models"--go to the appropriate category (jets) and click on the A7. The new model is in the folder marked "more armaments"

I thought 1 of any Aircraft CD=6 mo. MK's. (I could be wrong, though.)

Current project: A-7 Corsair II Desert Storm

Apparently Magic Keys only work for *New* models. As the corsair is a modification of an Existing model, we wont get it unless we purchased that model or CD with that model.

In the past, I have recieved Magic Key updates to models I didnt actually purchase, and I thought that was the way it worked. Looks like things have changed...or I wasnt supposed to get those in the first place, not sure which.

I don't think they've actually mailed out the thing yet....I haven't received one. Has anyone?

I bought the jets CD a while back but when I go to my list of models the A7 is only available if I buy it, strange seeing I have the original on my hard-drive it must have arrived as a magic key download. So the question is do I qualify for the cammo one?

This is from the FG FAQ page:

How do I access new versions?
First, in order to access new versions you must already have the model in your collection. Then simply go to "My Models" and search for the model. Click on the model name and you will be brought to the Download Page. There you will see a versions folder that will contain the new versions.


Where are my old magic keys?
The Magic Keys have always allowed temporary access to the all of the new models that are released. To be a little more to the point, at this time you are not able to access old magic keys. The ones that are available are on the My FG Home page under Magic Keys.

The magic keys are temporary. When I look at the list of "My Models" I dont see the A7, because I got it as via MagicKey too long ago. So, I will not get the updated version either, because its not listed under "My Models". At least thats how it reads to me...

And somthing else I didnt know (but was in the FAQ): The Magic Keys only allow access to the Last 6 Models released. It appears they drop off your list as new ones are added.

A few years ago, FG was a bit cash strapped and offered Lifetime MK's for a C note. I jumped on , considering it to be a major bargain. Think about it--every new model FG puts out--forever or until one of us buys the farm. never have regretted it. I still buy updated CD's every year or so--that way I always have access to nearly everything and my HD isn't full of extraneous files. The only odd glitch is that there have been occasions where I couldn't access my own work until I upgraded CD's....but the upgrades cost much less than the complete set. If Chip ever offers them again--grab the offer if you missed the origninal one.

Please explain something.

As a MAGIC KEY holder, if I have downloaded aircraft from FG, they should show up in a My Models category, correct?

I have numerous models that do not show up in any My Models category.

In fact, they appear under the "purchase category".

Because of this situation, I cannot download the SEA A-7.

Please reply to this message.
