I've had enough of this ******* spam. Every day there is more and more on every topic. Where the hell are the moderators? Isn't their job supposed to be to moderate the site and ensure it is properly maintained? I've had enough of reading about casinos, viagra or its equivalents and sex!! If I want to read about those things, I'd go their specific sites not the FG forum.

My suggestion, get rid of the moderators who aren't doing their jobs and get some new people to maintain this forum. Spam is out of control.

Niki

The moderators do the best they can, but they can't be online 24/7. You'll notice that whatever spam yoiu see is usually fresh spam, not spam that's been around for a while.

I check here at least twice a day but I can only remove spam in two areas.
Felix is doing all he can!

There are a lot more spammers than mods 8)

Fair enough guys. If the current moderators are overwhelmed then get more people on board as moderators, like a couple of the old timers or regular (trusted) posters. We seriously need to get some new measures in place to prevent this because it is becoming a major problem.

I second the motion for possum to serve as "sergeant-at-arms" in the spam department! Any opposed?

I'd like to help moderate too, if that would be possible. :?

P.S.-I vote possm, too.

::EDIT::

Has anyone e-mailed Chip/Nick about this? I mean, recently, since the site's been re-organized and fixed?

Okay guys, we're going to see what we can do. It might take a while though, what with all the new models in the pipeline. We are going to add a few more moderators as soon as we can. Possm's been drafted, any volunteers?

I'm keen, I'm on the net on a daily basis. Sign me up as a moderator.

I'd be willing to bust spammers if I had the capability. Sign me up for the 1st Mod Brigade, too, if my record's considered acceptable.

+1 for Major Possm as CO and Capt. Schutt as XO. Can I be the G-2 (Intel Officer)?

While there are Intelligence Officers, it is an article of faith for we NCO's (both ex and serving) that there are no intelligent officers... :P

I'm here most days too, so could also sweep the forum if need be.

Rick

I'm up, hit here most days, and as I'm in Oz the time difference might help.
