Do you have another pic? The linked one has been removed. If you need pics of B model let me know. I have a bunch and easy access to one if need be.

Oh. That's in the B-52 folder in the FG model. The tail number may be different, but that's the plane. It even has the X-15.

Here's my build

Looks like 11 sheets. It's got a 3 foot wing span though!

If you design the little extras, I'll build another BUFF.

I'm keen to try my hand at the H-model. Send them on to my private e-mail address.

I've actually gotten quite a ways with a repaint/redraw of the H model. So far:

- I've chopped down the tail proportionally (That was a PAIN)

- I've completed the recolor and marking for a modern jet (including a handful of tail numbers/nose arts)

- I've scratch built the "teeth & whiskers" -- still need to disassemble and copy.

- I've worked on redesigning the engine -- it's still not there yet

I still have to:

- lay out the radar-based tail (with & without the gun)

- design the side blisters

- finish the engine rework.

I'll probably need a once over to add missing ram inlets, but even at 3', the scale makes most writing/marking less than a blur (had to go to 600 dpi just to load in the nose art). I'll probably also need to lighten the seams and rivets, since they fade a bit on the grey paint schemes -- Haven't decided on that one yet . .

I was putting this together for last year's "Christmas door" contest at work, which didn't happen, then it did happen with a week's notice. To say the least, I've got a handful of prototypes of odds and ends and still no true H.

This project keeps coming back to life . . . maybe I can get it finished this time ?!?!? (wanna help?)

Did you post a picture of that door contest on papermodelers? If so, it looked pretty good.

Possm,
You could always build it in 1/288. It could be a hanger-mate for my B-36!

Willygoat,

If you mean the post in this forum -- yes, that's an early version.

I did a quick search on PaperModeler and the only B-52H that came up was a repaint attempt from last year (no word on success). I did notice a certain "Goat" was making encouraging remarks.

The one on the door is actually a stock B&W with the scratch built teeth and whiskers and my first attempt at trimming the tail (it looks pathetic IRL). The current repaint is much better.

Maybe I need to break down and take a pic of the prototype . . . or better yet -- finish it!
