Well,
I can see what pics I can find on the EC-47 and give her a shot. And I have an addon page for the SB-17G, which has the life boat, the nose radome, and the cheyenne tail gun. Getting it finished to send in, And I had started the USCG version when I had done the SB-17, Am looking for pics of the search radar for it, but I have some pics of them with out it and carring boats like the SB17, And I am thinking of a navy PB-1 weather recon version, as well. I do have a couple of pics of the canadian Avenger, but... Chip said the B&W is to old use for repaints. But I am going t use them til new ones are out.
Regards, Jeff

Dont give up.

It seems odd that Chip would say the C-47 is too old...since it wasnt too long ago with Rob Carleen repainted it for his Ant-Arctic bird (maybe two or three years?)

I suspect alot of it has to do with the subject matter. Chip seemed really happy with my Roy Brown Camel repaint. It was obviously an older design, but he didnt mention that to me alt all. Then when he suddenly released it, he (or someone) had re-drawn the whole thing. I got credit for it, but really all I had contributed to the final outcome was to show them where to put the markings (since it looks to me like they re-drew those as well).

So the whole "its too old" may be a bit of a red herring. If he likes it, I think Chip would make the effort to get it up on the site.

Just my opinion....

And if you need a "beta test" builder for any of your repaints (especially the AC-47!) please think of me. 8)

Maybe a few shots of the finished product could even change Chips mind.

It is odd for the C-47. Rob actually redrew the B&W pages when he did his repaint.

If Chip will not post it, Maybe we could arrange to get it sent out to those who own the model. I, for one, would do almost anything to build it (the AC-47D) and also your wonderful looking F4U with the extras. I'm not sure which one it was, but I'll build it!

Thanks for you hard work!

That is what I had thought of with the C-47 that the redraw was not that old. I will finish them up any way along with the B-24's I have going. The HUP-2 is done and I am painting 2 more versions. If the powers to be agree I will be glad to send them to Niki and let him send them to those who own them and want them. The F4U-4 is the 50's blue, gray and whits one. PM me for info. and how does the beta tester thing work??

Weel; I have an all yellow version for the NAMU in johnsville PA., it is a control bird for testing fly bombs and such, an artic red and navy blue PB4Y-1 from NAS North Island in San Dieago, Ca. It is waiting to see if John Dell puts out the new nose turret for it, if not I am modifying the belly one from B-17. And a couple of others, I PM'd John and asked what he was working on, but no reply as of yet. I can send pics of the versions.

I didn't redaw the entire C-47 when I did the Que Sera Sera--Just did some touch up and fixin', where needed. I think it was the last of Chip's hand drawn models, and although some folks would like finer line work, and better detail--I think those hand drawn versions have their own peculiar charm. Somewhere in my files, I have a copy of the original FG Bleriot--and although it's a bit catoonish--it has a charm that the later version lacks. More like art and less like drafting. I hope, a Chip redraws his older work, that he retains the originals as well....there's just something about those hand drawn models that I like.

Me too. It's like Glen's Boeing 40. The model is the nice computerized version, but they included Glen's original hand drawn piece as well. This is an art form in my opinion, and if there are old hand drawn models out there, we should still get them.

Hey guys, I did some kit bashing and am building my new re-paint of the '109 with interior and other good stuff. I just sent the re-paint in again, so hopefully it will be up soo.

The Best!

Mmmmm...kitbashed interiors! My favorites. :D

You gotta love the 109. So many variants and so many countries to paint them in. German, Slovakian, Spanish, Swiss, Isreali, Rumanian (I think)...not to mention captured versions in Soviet and British colours.
