Post subject:  AC-47 Add-ons

Hello All;
I just finished up an add-on weapons page for the AC-47. I used Murphy's weapons page from the Huey for the most part added the vulcan cannon pod using an F-4 wingtank, enlarged one of the mini-guns for the larger size. layed out the frame work to hold the pod in the door. cloned min-gun to have three for the windows. Now just have to come up with a simple floor and rear bulkhead for it all. Any suggestions??
Regards, Jeff

I know that the C-47 at the local museum has a plain flat gray floor with the cargo glides in the floor. The rear bulkhead had green insulation/padding and a door in the middle for the toilet. I might be able to get some pictures if you need them.

I don't have anything with ammo cans unless you just want standard ammo cans. I'll see if I can get full interior for you too.

Thanks Loads!!
I am glad for your help with pics. I have found a couple of interior pics but not sure if actual, or the restored one. Standard ammo cans will be cool, Thanks again.

I could ask my Dad if he has any memories of what they looked like inside. He worked on them in Vietnam.

Any help would be awsome!!
The few pictures I have found on the net seem to conflict on what was the layout :? even in pics of the same A/C. So the weapons I have done up are kind of generic and can be set up however a person wants. I did try to get the gun frames that wil be seen as close to shape as possible.

One thing you might have to do if you want accuracy is lengthen the nose a bit.

His job was to install radar designed for speeds over 500mph into the nose of a plane that topped out at 180mph, and the noses were lengthened a foot or so so it'd fit.

Well, I will give it a shot. I was thinking of trying to do that to Rob's R4D as the nose of the model is way to short, cool model none the less and a way better paint job than mine. I am thinking maybe either trying to add on, or to stretch the piece needed.
