Hi Guys,

Its been a while but I got back to the computer and did a couple of repaints for the elementary school library. This is the first and it was done as I can remember seeing at least one of these a day when I was younger and living under the landing pattern in Las Vegas.

Hope you like it.

Yote, any chance of getting that submitted to Chip? I know a guy who used to work for Hughes Airwest, and if I can ever get my [unintelligible] hands to stay steady enough long enough I might try to build it for him.

Very nice and Yellow. :)

This is great. I was wondering when someone would get around to doing a few repaints of the DC-9. The choices are almost limitless! I started my own for a Air Canada version; I'll even finish it ...someday

I seem to recal Rob saying he was working on a military transport repaint, shortly after he had the original released...wonder what ever came of that?

NASA uses the DC-9 as the C-9. It has taken over the "Vomit Comet" role after NASA retired its C-135.

Yoteman- Any chance of you finishing that Allegiant scheme this summer? I'm flying on an Allegiant MD-80 this summer to Florida. It would be sweet to have a model like the real thing (other than the type of plane of course).

Heck I have the repaint done to the point of building it just to be sure that everything lines up. I should be able to send it to Chip in the next week or two depending on what comes up, how much time I can dedicate to the build, and if I need to make any adjustments.

I always liked the Nightingale verson that the Navy used.

The Military transport versions remain 75% complete--the USN C-9 B and the USAF C-9A Medevac versions. Just lost interest in the project. Nice to see others making newe versions.

Ok just got done with the Allegiant repaint and the test build. This particular plane really made me mad, there always seems to be some models that just fight me every step of the way and this was one of them. Sorry the picture is not very good but the build did not turn out as desired and I will be building another before it "flies" in the library.

Maybe its not the plane but the size. I alway seem to have trouble with the big ones. Its a good thing that my next project only has small airplanes in it.
