It's pretty quiet in here, but I am used to that.
I have pestered the moderators and possm finally got me logged in. My normal user name is Nevadablue for all my forum stuff, but this was my third attempt at getting registered with the forum. Seems I can't read instructions.
So, I am nearly finished with my first paper model airplane, a J3 Cub. It is to serve as mail delivery for an in-progress railroad layout of mine. The location is in northern Nevada, just off the main air mail route, so they need a backup delivery service since the railroad is so SLOW.
I'll get pics posted soon. This has been a real learning experience. I've used some tips from here and a few tricks of my own on this one.
Next will be a DH40 since that was the workhorse of the original airmail route. Oh, the year of my model stuff is 1937, a bit early for a J3, but I have an unlimited modeling license that allows such bending of the truth.
