Sorry, I deleted this post. I'm hearing the link I posted may be a pirated site so I'm taking it down until I learn otherwise.

sorry...

Bob

I think you are right on the Bullet. Don't know if any of the others are pirated :?:

I think that Nieuport might be pirated and repainted. It looks Fiddler's Greenish.

It's not a FG model.

Thought that IL-2 looked familiar; it's a pirated and repainted Maly Modelarz, either their May 1973 or February 1983 edition (Maly often re-issues the same model after a few years).

The "weathering" that looks so cool is actually an artifact of a combination of poor resolution and the extremely cheap, coarse grain paper that Maly used, so that what are supposed to be uniform colors turn out "grainy" and splotchy.

The other models are similarly pirated from other sources - the Yak 9 for example if FG's Yak 9 with details from a 3-view drawing superimposed on the pieces to obtain "better" detailing.

Some of these pirate models have revisions extreme enough they may constitute a new legal entity - I don't know enough about international copyright law to say for sure, but these aren't just quick scans; a lot of rework went into some of these.

I'm hearing more and more that this might be a pirated AC site. So I deleted the link until I learn otherwise.

Sorry

Bob

Nice looking mailplane, Bob! Very neat build as always. I like the rigging and those nice round fat tires. How did you make them?

The wheels are wooden wheels from A C Moores craft store. I cut the rims from the printed wheels and glue them on the wooden wheels after I paint them. Paper is wood :? isn't it :?: 8)
