Thanks Buddy. Don't give away my secrets too bad. I can't help that I look like a nice gentle grandfatherly type... Have you never heard of protective coloration?
That's a good start on the Skytrain. I'm loading it on my harddrive as I type. I think, maybe, AC-47.
Interested in seeing how yours goes.

the third piece needs to be formed a little more.....there are not any score lines or instructions telling you to do this but I lightly creased along the edges of the gray area....and it should look something like this....

Image

this is how it is fitted to the fuselage....

the next small ring fits here...i know the instruction say to build the last 3 parts of the nose together...but i found that this ring was easier to fit and glue by itself

Image.....

i for got to take any pics while building the cockpit so i will just have to try and describe how i built it.....the most important detail is to be sure and make a fold on the lines just above the cockpit windows...these will fold down and then i believe everything will come together nicely

Bud, I really like that workstand you've made yourself there. I'm going to have to make one of those. Made from the back of a legal pad?

gluing the cockpit on was a little tricky....i glued it on the top first and then worked on the left and right side.....the cockpit did not exactly fit the gray area...it is a little larger.....matter of fact it stuck out past the second ring of the front......also by leaving off the last 2 nose joints...this made it much easier to glue up the cockpit

sorry for the blurry pics....my camera doesnt do closeup real well

Looking good so far Possm. Look out when you do the tail piece. THe all-in-one thing is a bit strange. That was the main reason the C-47 got redrawn when Rob did his version. Just be really patient on the tail (if that's possible) :D

once again i forgot to take a pic....the rear fusalage went together pretty easy....just make sure that the slits in the sides are done before forming and gluing the bottom tabs....

THIS IS NOT THE WAY TO DO IT

Image

Image

but once you have this section built i found that the easiest way to get the two parts to fit togehter easily is to slightly bend the tabs inward on the main fuselage...of course this works on most section where tabs are used....

Image

i got a very nice fit... :D
