If you're talking about the shuttle model from FG, it's a pretty solid model. I don't recall having any issues when I built it a few years ago. It turns out nice too.

That is the one I had in mind. Still trying to get to the C-47 and give her a home up in front of the glider. Migraines have been doing there thing of late. So close I don't want to start all over again. That would be a pure pain. wc

The C-47 Skytrain and Invasion Glider are complete and mounted above my gaming PC. Now when I fly with my CPS (Casual Pilot Squadron) friends at night in IL-2 I can look up and see my models which is what I had in mind. I'm not real proud of the C-47 but she will do and it was an extremely hard model to complete. This model could never have been done without my mentor, "WillyGoat". Thank you for hanging in there with me Coach. I want to dedicate the C-47 to my very close friend, proud new father and teacher, WillyGoat and the Glider to my good friend, Jim aka CPS_Wolf who does the re-coloring, art work and re-scaling for me. Without them these models would have never come about. Thank you very much guys.

The set up came out great Waddy! Great job on a very big project. That tail art just seems perfect for some reason. Hmmm. Can't wait to see the shuttle next.

Thank you guys for the kind words. This was a very difficult model. I for one am very happy it's not behind me. In my opinion no matter which model you pick of C-47 is going to be hard. The FG was the easiest one to try. My buddy Jim did an outstanding job on the tail logo. My deepest thanks to Willy for always being there. Time to stand down before the next model. My surgery will be here soon and that has to make this hobby a bit easier. Thank you guys again. wc

To take a static model and put it into action such as what you did makes your efforts at building all the more enjoyable. That really looks good at what you did to display it. Somehow it seems more realistic than hanging it from the ceiling or sitting on a shelf.

Good job well done!

I was going for a mini diorama display. I fly with a flight sim called IL-2 and I wanted the models so I could look up from my gaming desk and see them when flying with my group, CPS. It worked out but this was a hard model. I have one other model of the C-47 but I don't think I have the ability to build it. I need more modeling time and learn a lot more before I can take it on. For now I will build the FG Columbia Shuttle. It looks easy enough. Here's hoping anyway. wc
