Hello my friends!

I have a little hiatus in trimotr build, but the motivation is real and good.

Aaron send me for final test a fantastic and long awaited Stratocruiser family. Include a comercial version 377, KC-97 USAF tanker and Pregnant Guppy, all is 1/76 scale, but I reduce for my friend 1/100 scale.

The model have a interesting build features, is a case of double deck feauture made with literally two fuselages and in the Guppy in three big sections.

In the first I made 377 and KC-97 fuselages... Not have problems at the moment , the align and fit is very good.

I made fuse in three sets rear made with cones, central fuse (two cilinders), and canopy section (the most complicated piec at the moment I build...)

Fuses at the moment...

Tonight I made a second fuse section...

Best regards!

AWESOME!!!!! I can't wait for the KC-97. I've been trying to get a hold of a model of one for years. The museum needs a model of their Stratofreighter badly.

You might notice familiar markings on this one Willygoat. I used the photos of the one in your museum. Although I couldn't find any good shots of the tail markings.

Here's a quick one i found on my hard drive. It's pretty simple. The tail number and the Air National Guard logo.

The ANG seal is essentially this one

In a more simple line drawing like this one (Army)

But in the blue on the inner part of this one

I couldn't find a straight on shot of the logo (it's 20 freaking feet up!)

Another great start on two models. Looking good!!! It would take me hours just to cut out and glue half the fuselage for just one model. I am impressed.

Is there any way I could buy the models of the KC-97 USAF tanker aircraft Willygoat is asking about with all marking like that of the one at is museum? For me it would an honor and deeply appropriated. Thank you for any considerations. Thank you very for help you can offer and I’m sorry if I rudely just dropped into this conversation. wc

Waddy, when the model is available, it is the "exact" aircraft that is at the museum here. Murph got the reference shots when we went out in March.

I'm offering the Boeing 377 series (377 prototype, KC-97,Pregnant Guppy, and a B&W 377) through direct email for a $20 paypal donation. After about 2 or 3 months, I'll submit it to FG.

Also, I have a Boeing 707 series available too (Model 367-80 Prototype-the one that barrel-rolled, Romanian 707, KC-135, E-3 Sentry, and VC-137 Air Force One), also direct email for $20 via paypal.

Boeing 727 Request - Azguy, would there be any chance you might also have a B0eing - 727? I worked at the S.F. Internationale Airport when I was a young man for PSA Airlines (Pacific Southwest Airline). I worked on, through out and inside the Lockheed L-188 Electra and the Boeing - 727 for almost 10 years. Best time of my life and most intense action at times. Needless to say how important these two models are to me. I have photos and a drawing of the 272. Brought back at lot of great memories. Just asking. Thank you. wc

Oh, my reason for dropping in to this forum. I just want to say what an outstanding job your doing on the front end area. You really have a nice round shaped nose. This is going to be sweet. Thanks for letting us tag along. wc

Different subject but related:
A Lockheed L-188/P3 Orion crashed darning touch and go landings while on approach to Moffett Federal Airfield, Calif. Crashing landing into a near by golf course. Time and date unknown to me but I did know the pilot of aircraft. The aircraft and crew died. Captain of this flight was with National Guard and flew for PSA Airlines. Plus a friend at the time. Does any one know any details of this? Thank you. fc

Thank's people!

Reports in the double build. Time to start the wings.

I build the internal former is the secret is fit in hole in the main fuse (not in rear deck), after dry I started by root segment I glue with foam glue, the secret is glue first the root, and after dry gluing the rest of the wing in former...
