Downloaded this T-38 from Fiddler's Green and literally threw it together over Thanksgiving 2016. Didn't bother much with shaping the pieces- just threw it together to see how things fit. You might be able to see pencil marks where I'm using this for a repaint, and the cockpit is crinkled from having done some low passes over the house cats. The FG version only comes in Thunderbirds (I remember seeing them fly the Talon in the mid 1970s) and NASA paint schemes, which I think IS A MAJOR CRIME! So I've done a B&W version in preparation for various 60s & 70s era versions of it in USAF ATC schemes. I maybe spent 3 days throwing this thing together so there's lots of problems with it (it's a beta build!), but I was impressed with how well it turned out despite how little time & effort I spent on it. I must admit, this is my absolute favorite aircraft of all time and I'm glad they're still flying and will be for awhile longer...

This model does a good job with the coke-bottle shape of the Talon, which I don't mind admitting is sexy as hell...

Here's the underside. The model basically consists of 3 parts, the forward and rear fuselage, and the canopy hump. I had some trouble where the forward and rear fuselage parts joined together. The nose also has a slight bend to the right too. I messed up the air intakes, but despite my attempt, they are very well modelled in this rendition from FG.

Not a great shot of the front view, but I even managed to get some good symmetry out of the nose section despite my rush-construction job...

Tail detail. Anyone see the mistake on this NASA version?

Another shot of the starboard side. I really messed up where the canopy hump joins the fuselage, but check out that coke-bottle shape of the air intake!

I saw the error on the tail with the NASA logo, only after you posted it in another section. Just goes to show you what a fresh pair of eyes can see.

Looks pretty awesome for a rush job. I love this kit. I've got my NASA bird hanging in my classroom right now.

I'm a Career and Tech Education teacher, so MY classroom. The teacher next door wanted it for her aviation module, but I said no. I gave her an old FG Stearman model instead.
