Awesome! I saw an article about this a couple of years ago in Popular Science. At that point it was only in early prototype stage. They are quick to point out that it isn't a flying car, but a roadable plane.

I must be blind coz I can't see any card model of this plane :?. If you mean the animation at the bottom of the page, that's just a computer generated thing.

Try back again later Tim. I had to try 5 or 6 times when I got the link again. Apparently, the link being posted here made their hits go through the roof

Thanks willygoat - I can see, I can see!. I'd be interested to know if they ship to the UK too, it'd certainly be an unusual model to own/build.

I didn't see anything about only shipping in the U.S. It looks like they use UPS, so I would think they could go anywhere. The model is $4.00. Shipping for me was $4.40.

I'll email them later, it looks like a decent build.

I got my Transition model today! Of course, the lovely postal service bent it in half  But, With a couple of days under a dictionary, it should be good as new. The model looks to be fairly straight forward, but will prove tricky. Lots of compound curves. The wheels and tail will be the hardest part. The nice thing is it's like an FG model. As in, no formers what so ever. But, with the curves it could be icky too. The only instructions are a few tips on the cover sheet with a VERY simple exploded diagram. The rest is look at the plane pictures provided and good luck.

Other than bent envelope, the fine folks at Terrafugia did a nice job with packaging. The model sheets (2) and cover sheet were in a very nice zipper baggy (2 gal maybe). Plus, they threw in their bumper sticker that says "My next car will be an airplane". i love it. Also interesting, is the fact that one of the company founders is the one who stuffed the envelope and sent it on it's way. Now that's management reaching out to customers. :D
