Would anyone like to help me with this? I'm finding my legs with Gimp and am really liking it. I thought that I would take the scoop from the D0-335 and round the original wings. Anything else?

cmdr,

Personally, GIMP is a must if I do any editing . . . but other than raving about the tool, I'm afraid I'm not that much help for WWII era aircraft.

I can lend a hand with GIMP if you need it, but you've probably got that covered.

Isnt the "F" the first of the Big Nosed 109s? How do you plan to make that?

Its not a huge difference, I think. The spinner would have to be petal type, and the horozontal tail supports would have to done away with, and the scoop changed, and the wings rounded. Other than thatn I think thats all. If someone would be willing to lend a hand, I think we can kit bash most of this.

What kinda help do you need?

Here is a low-res view of the differences in the E and the F (superimposed linedrawings). Not much really. The F is in the orange. The nose is definitly more rounded, and the spinner much larger (and rounded too).

1.Take the first one or two fusalage parts from the front of the Me-209.

2. The petal for the spinner from the Vought A-7 Corsair II's nose., or the Me-209 again (but as the 209 has a very large open end, you would need to extend the petal parts a fair amount.)

3. the air scoop from the Arrow is perfect.

4. Take some rounded wing tips from just about any kit that has it.

And you're done!

Thats about what I was thinking. The air scoops underneath the fuse also need to bo moded to include flaps. The 'F' had scoops with the flaps extending onto them

Kool. And ofcourse the differences bewteen the F and the G are negligible, so that one could be done as well. Oooooh, lotsa different repaints would be opened up with those!
