Fiddlers Green has got WWII in the air covered wall to wall (or I should say floor to ceiling) with USA and Luftwaffe aircraft, but not much from the equally significant Imperial Japanese Navy and Air Forces. Might be worth giving the Kate, Val, Dinah and Betty a nudge up in priority (or even into the queue at all). It wouldn't take much to design a central pontoon and tip floats for the Zero, just to get the mill going. With a ceiling full of Grumman cats of every stripe in echelon with the Dauntless and F4U Corsair, the lone Zero is badly in need of reinforcing company.

I concur!!! I wonder if you could take the float from the kingfisher model and stick that on the Zero? I really haven't looked at it too closely, but it's an idea.

The Claude is there too, but I agree we need more Japanese aircraft.

Thanks to Airport kid for bringing this up.
A long overdue project for fiddlers to take on.

Sorry to bring this up here, but does anyone know where I can find a Betty, 1/72 or larger? I'm not having any luck.
Lep

The Maly 4/5 1992 issue is the only paper model Betty I've ever seen, at 1/50 scale. It comes with a bonus suicide bomb. Use www.allegro.pl to find one (the Polish version of eBay). The Chicago Paper Model Store, which carries out of print Maly models, does not currently have a Betty in stock.

But Lep, what on earth are you going to do with a model with only a two digit scale? Do you even know how to build something visible to the unaided eye? Is there a risk you'd use that bonus suicide bomb in a fit of frustration at trying to work with a piece so big it won't fit on your microscope stage? Perhaps I shouldn't have been so free with this information. 8)

GPM also did a Betty & Ohka in 1/33, GPM No.37. I don't know where it can be found though.

I have the Okha already... need the Betty. Depending on the room I have I could take them down to 3 or even 4 digit scale.
