The B-1B is one of the best-looking-as-a-model planes ever. It would be a really fun and large build, adding to the many large models already on the site.

Hey! The guy's got a point!

The BONE has always made a GREAT hanger queen!

Maybe it can even include a aircraft jacks so you can get it in the air!

I've tried to work out the "FG-physics" several times. It's next to impossible to do without significant internal formers, thanks to the pinched waist and swing-wings.

Hence, there hasn't been a C-130 or C-5 yet.

I may be able to get the B-2 to work as soon as I decided on which 3D software to get...

Good to see you back here Sarge!!!! I agree withyou on the design difficulties with the B-1 and other large aircraft. They would need some form of support to make the skins come together and to hold shape.

i just had a mildly killer idea... would coverstock with cardstock formers work? here's an idea as to how it would be created...
cockpit/forward section: have just an aft former right after the cockpit windows end but still before it widens a bit. the former would be a very basic shape.
aft forward section: just a large oval thingy, with two formers at each end.
continue in this fasion with the rest of the fuselage.
for the wings, I think that some like on the FG B-52 would be cool, with swing pivots like the F-14.

OH and cuz i'm terrible at designing stuff except for my assault guns, anyone who wants to take a stab at this could model it after the 1/100 model from ojimak (just google "ojimak" and go to the site, it's free)
