The "future models" page says that the F-105 Thunderchief is actually being developed currently, but according to the plane's page, it's been like that for a year. Anybody know what the deal is?

I started work on an F-105G "Wild Weasel" a while back, but it never got much beyond the BW stage, as I became deeply involved in a couple 1:1 scale projects: the first being the restoration of an SBD-5 Dauntless, recovered from Lake Michigan and , now, an F6F-3 Hellcat, likewise recovered from said body of water. The Hellcat is much more labor intensive, as it crashed on the flight deck before being pushed over the side. The Dauntless merely crash landed in the drink. The F6F was cannibalized a bit before going overboard and lost more over the years on the bottom. By my estimates, it'll be between 30 and 50% original by the time the restoration to non-flying condition is complete...so you can see that this is a major time consumer. By the time I get home--I'm "airplaned out" and too tuckered to do any design work. When this plane is finished--I'll probably go back to just being a volunteer, working two days or so per week, and maybe then getting back into designing card models. I've got four in the BW stage right now. The British Lightning, the Lockheed XF-90, the Douglas A-26 and F-101 (a bit less, I've still got a bit of work to do on the fuselage.). I also want to do the Curtiss A-1 Triad, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of naval aviation, which is in 2011....that's going to be my priority this winter; try and get that one modeled. Luckily, one hangs in the museum, so I'll not have work off of sketchy three views alone.

I was wondering if you're still working on the full scale planes Rob. Good to hear from you. I can't wait for that A-26. I've been itching for it since you sadi you'd start working on it. :D
