I was going to scale these for use with my game figures, but they aren't marked for WSAM scale (that I can find, anyway). Are they 1:60 already?

Thanks,
Alexio

Hi Alexio,
Both the Ju 52 and Opel Blitz are in 1/48 scale. So WSAM should be 81%.

Hello John,

are you sure about 1:48 for the JU52? (well, you should know :-)

When I print the large Version at 100%, the length is about 33cm.
The length from the FG website is 62ft, approx. 20 meters...
... so the scale is 1:60, isn't it?

Best regards
Ullrich

I would say the Blitz is approximately 1/48. It is not the same size as my plastic Opel and Mercedes trucks, but is close. the figure provided is way out of scale and is about 1/40 in size.]

Ullrich,
You may be right. When I received the design from Chauncy I measured the wing span and noticed it matched the wing span of a 1/48 scale plastic kit in a catalogue. A couple of months later I looked through this same catalog again. They listed a couple of 1/48 Ju 52's. Each with different wing spans! I should of checked with Chauncy or figured it out myself.

The Opel's should be close to 1/48 scale. I used a 1/35 scale plastic kit for reference and scaled every thing down from it. The reduction is 72.92% if your interested. The figures are a little on the large size. I did this to make them easier to work with.

Hi, new forum member here !

I posted query on the scale of the JU-52 in the technical help section..I should have looked here first !

I needed three Spanish Civil war models in 1:100 scale. I thought the original was in 1:60 s(as no WASM) so I printed it out at 60%. When I'd made the model I checked the wingspan and worked out the completed model was about 1:84.

So by my reckoning the original scale is approx 1:50. So if my measurements where rough then 1:48 is probably right.

This is reasuring as I thoght I was miscalculating or something was wrong with my printer software. Now I know I can go ahead and make the three planes I need. As they will be even smaller the fiddly bits should be even more fun!!

Thanks for the great model !
