I loved the little pedal car and it was one of the first three free models I got when I signed up to FG. I drove it straight into the landfill today though. Soooo many issues with it.
The instructions sheet had a few pattern parts printed on it and those parts only fit the large model. I had to resize to use them on the regular sized model so fitment was not great. Maybe it's just the nature of the beast considering all the curves of this model, but hardly anything fit together properly from the instrument panel to the fenders, to wheel wells and side covers it all had to be force manipulated or cut into several segments to try and come close to getting something reasonable. Darn shame cause it's so cute! I know I'm still completely new to this, but I haven't had so much trouble with any other model I've done, FG or other.

You could try printing the large file at a reduced size. Shrink all pages of the large model by the same percent to get to the size of the smaller model.

I got the parts reduced fine, (thanks in part to BurningBeard) the other issues were just plain fitment of the printed parts!

I've never built the pedal car so I can't offer much else as far as help goes. Did you happen to have the "shrink to fit page" selected on the printer options? This can cause some pages to distort and not fit. I was bit by this bug many times early on, as I didn't think to look for it.

Oh!!!! No I'm sure I didn't but.... that is a VERY important thing to be mindful of and one I didn't even think about until you mentioned it. That should probably be stickied somewhere for us newbies!!! Thank you very much!

I'm gonna have to give this one a try, it has always appealed to my sense of whimsy. I have to finish the Himalayan Toy Train by Canon, which also tickled my whimsy, first. That whimsy can sure get you in trouble, lol.
