Another "Fiddler"! I can't seem to leave anything alone. (ask Possm) I'm always downsizing, super-detailing, Hand-repainting. I have a real problem with reglassing though. Haven't developed the knack, I guess.

I"m embarrassed to say that I remember it as "Da Plane...Da Plane!" in Fantasy Island, that horrible, campy TV show from the late 70's.

It wasnt me...my sister made me watch it!

This is a fun thread to read! Loadmat; I was working on the interior but the whole thing was reorganized by Chip to build easier (a good thing) but something didn't look right, just figured that out so the model will be out shortly due to this delay. Interior on hold, but I'm moving on to new planes now, so looks like another scratchbuild, sorry...I did find a panel photo that I sized to fit, and had the floor, seats partway only. The power for the twin radials control handles are actually up above the windsheild on the left seat side and there's a bulkhead wall behind the cockpit.

Birder,
Thanks for the update. I just bought the Hansa-Brandenburg CC and just completed a sratch-built interior. I also bought the Sikorsky S-39, and of course an interior will be sratchbuilt for it - it's a sickness. :D
I really enjoy FG kits, I thinks it's the odd-ball nature of subject matter that is released, with just a smattering of main sttream-everybody-builds-em for the folk that enjoy the ordinary.

Here's my new project, there's a web page up for it already, but I've got work to do on it obviously, A5M Claude

Another design, cool! Almost done with the goose, funky looking little plane, those engines are pretty comical, seriously oversized but cool a the same time.

Yeah, I think the whole look of the Goose is kind of art-decco, one guy said the front view looked like a Disney character!

Birder,

Will the Claude be in two sizes, and how many versions? Looks like it's going to be a winner.

I'm happy with the A5M so far, goes together easier (lots easier than some) than my prior ones, but as a monoplane more traditional build. I don't know of but one pre-wwII version, so at least one main version and of course 2 sizes, besides the B+W. Drew up the engine this weekend so new beta build coming up (as soon as I can).

Birder,
Thanks for the info. I found a few places with info on the Claude. The main scheme I found was the all white with a red empenage and fuselage band. I found a green/brown camo pic on regroups.com, a build thread by Rocketman209, and a book on the Claude by mushroon models publishing at rollmodels.net. There's also some good shots of the Claude at aviastar.org, and finally, a two-seat A5M4-K in IJN orange. An interesting note about the P-26 Peashooter, the Chinese had some success with it against the Claude.
