Hey guys,

I sure would like to see some of the R.A.F. bombers. First on the list would of course be the Lancaster, though any of the others would be nice. Sterling, Halifax, Wellington, Blenheim, Beaufighter, Anson, Whitley, Battle, Hudson...

I absolutely love the Coastal Command colour scheme, and would love to see a B-17 or B-24 re-draw. I remember John Dell contemplating the B-24 a couple of years ago.

Kenny

ps upon quick look, I see only the Spitfire/Seafire and Hurricane (and a British P-40) to represent the R.A.F. in WWII Fiddlers Green land. The Hurricane is a very nice model and the other two are ok, but you would think that there would be room for more aircraft sporting that most lovely red-white-blue roundele.

The Mossie would be nice to see, in either the bomber or fighter-bomber version, as well as the Westland Whirlwind.

Not to mention, the Typhoon, Tempest, and Meteor.

The Mosquito was # 2 on my wish list, but somehow was forgotton in my excitement

There really is a frightfully low RAF representation within the FG line. I wonder why that is?

I saw and HEARD a real Lanc today! http://www.lancastermuseum.ca/ Worth the four hour drive without question. Any word on the FG Lanc? The site has listed "....Avro Lancaster (In progress)" for years now. I imagine that John Dell has a busy life, but it sure would be nice if he, or really any of the other freelancers, took this one up again.

I believe that I read a while back that a Lancaster would eventually make it into the FG lineup. Kancho has a freebie Catalina in a couple different color schemes, including RAF. (www.kancho.muncho.org).

Kancho's models range from fairly simple to very complex...not for a neophyte, but great models for soemone with a bit of experience.

Thanks for the link Rob,

The Catalina is another that should have been on my list. The Kancho model is indeed very nice and a generous freebee. It'll take some time to figure it all out though.

Gents,

actually there's a lot that can be done with comparatively little efforts, because, as a matter of fact, half the Fleet Air Arms planes are already available from FG. In particular, those are:

(Sea) Hurricane
Spitfire/Seafire
Martlet/Wildcat
Tarpon/Avenger
Hellcat
Corsair
Kingfisher

And for the RAF there is still the Buffalo, which bravely fought the japanese in indonesia (and by the way, the dutch version with the orange triangles would be nice, too!).

I've already started repainting the Avenger in FAA colours two or three years ago. Somehow i haven't managed to finish it and at the moment it rests somewhere in my CD collection. However, the basic camo scheme is done and with my (now) greater experience in repainting models I shall be able to finish it in not too much time.

You're right MichiK,

I'm not up on the graphics complications, but I would love to see some re-draws of many of the older WWII FG models. Many of them seem to be of an older generation, that's for sure.

Take care everyone.

I agree. On all counts. I too would love to see a FAA Coastal Liberator....... some of the WWII planes need updating, re-drawing.

And some of the 50's - 60's era jets.......... thankfully Robs got the Hunter going but there are plenty of others that would be nice to see!

Hmmm, looks like I'm still slower than I thought, but at least you can have a 'little' glance on it (ha, ha, good pun, isn't it ?!) at
http://www.cardmodels.net/forum/attachm ... entid=3005 and

Bye!

Michi,

I know it's an old joke, but REALLY, where did you get such a large beer cap. Now that's my kind of bottle :-)

Seriously, that's crazy small. I built a few aircraft for the 1:400 JSC USS INTREPID (yet another rediculously complicated ship model I have.... incomplete) I swear those tiny Corsairs took more time than a FG model and by the time I was finished I had worn off most of the ink with my sweaty fingers... Great job my friend,

Kenny
