Post subject: Buffalo for the Old Guy
PostPosted: Thu Nov 23, 2006 1:18 am
Here is my repaint of the Brewster Buffalo at the request of old guy in a previous post he left in the New Model Suggestions Forum earlier this month. Most of the interesting Finnish Air Force Buffalos from WWII are a variation on this scheme. This is the test build for the repaint and I have to adjust a couple of issues with the graphics and then I will submit it to Chip.

Hi, I have a F2A Brewster Buffalo in regular size repainted and redrawn as an Aussie Commonwealth Boomerang Mk1. It's my second attempt at it; I’ve also created some extra detail bits to add on to the model, unfortunately I have no picture of it complete as I’ve got one of my wrists in a bandage* and a printer that's forgotten what color black is.

If I got my facts and insignia right, then this model is of a f2a that brought down two Japanese boomers,â€

No worries mate. I was going through my files last night, and seem to have misplaced the 3-view for the real boomerang. I know where to get it from, and as soom as I can I'll get it to you.

Cheers!

I found a good use for the buffalo, if youre interested. You weight the nose and tie one wing to the ceiling fan. Mine flew for days, really.
