I love a good monster; and this one looks like great fun.

Does that wing spar go right through the fuselage?

The wing spar is 3 boxes joined together that rests inside the middle wing section that's attached to the fuselage. I've finished the model now, it's only the beta build to iron out any errors. The model is relatively easy, only the sheer scale makes it a little bit more tough. I messed up my wing attachment, it's a bit messy but the overall effect is impressive. I can't wait to see how John Dell recolours it.

I saw a plastic model on the hobby shop yesterday and almost grabbed it, but it wouldn't be nearly as large as this one is goign to be. Besides, why pay for plastic when you have magic keys!

Niki,
Did the landing gear work out? I was kind of worried about those.

Howzit. The landing gear works fine Aaron, nice and simple for the Me-321 and the Me-323. The plane just needs a massive amount of weight in the nose to avoid being a tailsitter.

Chip's working on that. It sounds like he commissioned a Panzer to go in the nose.

Chip's philosophy is for as much model as possible per page, so yes, a 1 metre plus wingspan is what's happening. It is a really amazing model once built, absolutely massive yet straightforward to build.

Thats odd...FG already has a german truck that would go just fine in the front of the 321/323. I dont mind a panzer, I just would have thought it would be easier to just re-scale the truck.

I hope that if a tank is going to be designed, that we dont end up waiting for it to be finished before the 321/323 can be released.

The truck is cool and all, but I agree that a Panzer or Tiger II would be a perfect counterpoint.

I expect the truck to win because A) we already have it, and B) it would counter the jeep that goes with the Waco glider.

I still don't know what plans Chip has for it, but I do know he also commissioned Derek Meddings to draw a line of German soldiers disembarking.
