I must apologize to everyone for that big boo-boo.

The tall tail I was seeing in my mind was the FM-2. Sorry, guys.

Edited Staggerwing info into results 8/30, in light of Birder's forthcoming model.

While we are on the subject of Racers, are there any land-based race planes that could be converted to Schneider Trophy racers by the addition of floats? I've been reading up on the Schneider Cup lately, and i'm a little dissapointed to see that it has been a subject ignored for the most part by FG models, with the exception of the Sopwith Tabloid in the WW1 collection. I would like to to see that remedied. Heck, if I knew anything about designing models, i would remedy the problem myself, but, alas, i'm still something of a novice, although i'm getting better.

Well, one of the Severskys in here (it packed its floats even in the Bendix or Thompson!) was an amphib that I think was a Schneider entry too--you'd need to do some redetailing on the P-35 or AP-7, redesign the tail-section and add floats and it'd be pretty much Good2Go.

Schneider races are on my list too, after I finish the Greves. (Life and contracts have a nasty habit of getting in my way...)
