Would like to suggest a small municipal airport, Also a nineteen thirties airfield with a hanger and quonset hut shop and of course the searchlight.

These suggestions are all great. I have just printed out the WWI tent ( a couple of days ago) and am going to build a WASM Pup to crate a small diorama.

That being said, I'd love to see some other buildings in different eras. Workshop/hangers for the racers, huts & tents for WWI, more permanent structures for WWII etc.

I'd love to see any of these... and SOON

Kenny

One of those WWII corrugated steel/tin half-rounded quonsut huts. They'd be easy as heck to make, and could be everything from the C/O's office to the tool shed to an actual hangar!

Air base buildings and vehicles in different nationalities are definitely things I plan to do in the future. I probably will start with a quonset hut. I have some great books on the Eight Air Force bases with nice reference photos.

There's an island structure from an escort carrier (CVE) here in our museum. I'll have to take a close look at it one of these days. Shouldn't be too hard to model.

If you are looking for a GREAT art deco control tower, may I suggest you look at either the Akron Ohio municiple airport, it was built in the 30's along with the airdock for the Akron and Macon. Or the still in use as a museum airport teminal at the NW corner of McConnel AFB in KS.
