|Post subject:||Chrysler Building|
-Hi ! I'm new to this forum - I found it while searching for a model of the Chrysler Building - hoping for a large one : 2 to 3 feet high
I built an Empire State Bldg model and I wanted to have them as a pair
(unfortunately the cat peed on the Empire and it had to go)
I've seen a couple of small Chrysler Models - nothing large, but I remember seeing one in the early 80s
Any suggestions ?
Thank you very much

I think your best be is going to be to find a small model, and enlarge it using Photoshop or your program of choice, putting it on removable media and getting Kinko's or other store to print it as large as they can.

I think I know what building series you are talking about. Back in the 80's there was a great series of paper model books of famous buildings (and other structures). The Empire State Building and Chrysler Building were among them. So was the Vatican, the Capitol, the Brooklyn Bridge, the Titanic, a Chinese Pagoda, the Eiffel Tower and many more. They were all huge (two to three feet high or long).
I have been looking for these for several years to add to my collection. I am fairly sure they are out of print now but I will share the information I have about them.
The title of the Crysler Building book was, "The World At Your Feet: Build Your Own Chrysler Building" By Alan Rose. It was a Perigee book published by G.P. Putnam's Sons copyright 1980. The ISBN is 0-399-50505-9.
Good luck and let me know if you find them somewhere.
