Post subject:  YB-60 Original CAD drawings....

I want to request use of the original YB-60 drawings to enable me to enlarge this design to
150" wingspan. We are finishing up our B-47 this quarter and want to build the Convair YB-60
as there was only one flyable airframe, and that's all it takes for FAI F4C R/C competitive
flying scale competition.

Hoping the original was drawing in CAD to speed our enlargement process along. Please
reply to wmclayman@comcast.net at your earliest convenience. Thanks in advance for your quick reply!

I'm not sure where Murph got his 3-view drawing, but I know his model was done in Rhino3D, not CAD. He does all of his models this way.

Everything is done in Rhino3D and Photoshop. IF you can open .3dm files, I can send those to you. Otherwise your stuck with the .pdf's, although I do have those in vector format.

Thanks Alan,

Yes, I most certainly would like to acquire your .3dm files to work up my YB-60. Do
you have a .iges or igs export capability? If so I would like the file in both formats.

Thus far I have been to Fort Worth, San Diego, Dayton, and Washington, DC raking
through the sands of time. I have dogged down more names. Always can use more
and more line and in the field names associated with one of my projects.

You can either email this to me or place in a cloud and email an account number and
a PW for me to retrieve.

PS:

Don't know what's been going on with the server...its been acting strange for over a
week. Its almost as if there is a mirror file operating. I edited this post to add image
of the only measured YB-60 drawing I have found thus far.

Truely an all hallows eve... O^O Will try again after closing.

A lot of water has passed under this bridge since I last posted here. Yes, I can handle the .3dm and it would very
helpful if I may have a copy of the Vector PDF's.

We now have a three axis CNC hot wire measuring 6' on 36" vertical center and a 4' x 6' four axis CNC mill. As we
settle into retirement everything is set to build all those I wish I had a's :)

Please send the .3dm and .pdf's to: Ed@Traffic.net.co That is the best large file pathway I have.

Thanks,

Wow,

Our B-47's will finish in October. There were multiple health issues with project members which
delayed progress.

Were the YB-60 Rhino .3dm and Vector PDF's ever sent to Ed@Traffic.net.co ? I had switched
to AT&T about the time I requested the YB-60 files. I apparently missed the file transfers with
my changes. If these files could be resent it would really be appreciated.

Lots of changes have been on my horizon since I last posted relative to receiving the Rhino files for the Y60.
The email address to send the files to has changed to scaleaero@gmail.com .

Our plans are moving forward a bit slower than we care for, but due to the ground hog's shadow watching
last month Winter is having a ball(pardon the pun) and contractors don't work well outside in blowing snow
and ice.

Our enterprise plans are maturing and I have begun working on our core product by acquiring high rez pdf,
and 3D CAD files to enable us to increase the subject aircraft to between 100 and 130 inch wingspan.

To this end I am looking for Mr. Bob Martin who I believe was creator of the 30" w/s Lancaster model. I am
VERY interested in acquiring the right to produce a 100 to 120 inch version of it...for electric power and this
of course is going to be an RC kit. Bob, if someone knows Bob or knows his email or tele # I would appreciate
you asking Bob to email me at ScaleAero@gmail.com
