Here is the Curtis Hawk. A tricky little plane to build, but very colourful. The wheel spats drove me nuts!

That Hawk came out great, Tim! You'd never know that the spats were a problem - they came out very nice. An attractive bird.

I dont really remember now, but I assume it was the largest version that FG has (I almost always build the largest ones- Bigger is Better!)

I have started working on a *slightly* up-scaled GO-229. Here is a picture of the regular sized FG version, that I built about 6-7 years ago, and the parts for the upsized one. I'm just about finished cutting all the parts out; now I need to think about cockpit details and canopy...not to mention the wheels and wheel wells.

Apologies if you have already seen these- I posted them over on the Papermodlers site yesterday.

Looks like you are (really upscailing) that GO-229 EH :?:
Can't wait to see the finished build.
Hey, by the way, please DO post it on this forum too as
I haven't got to the other one yet.
Thanks

Hopefully it will all fit together after its growth spurt!

I think its somewhere around 1/20th or 1/25th. Not sure. I took the original, which was 1/60th and resized it by 250%. But since I also ported the files out to Micorsoft Publisher for printing, the scale may have gotten messed up. I have found that can happen when you are changing back and forth with different file types and programs.

There was some "pixalation" but not too bad really. I'm hoping I will be able to touch up the worst of that with a light dusting of paint once the model is finished glueing up.

I have the basic generic cockpit done. The seat that comes with the model seems odd. The head rest part seems waaay too thin. Guess I'll just have to build it and see how it looks. Thats my project for tonight- get the cockpit interior done and the "fusalage" glued up. Heh...the fusalage is really the wing center section!

Here are a few more pictures of my supersized GO-229 project. Its been a crazy week, with the kids monopolizing the computer for school work all week. It wasnt until Friday that I was able to use photoshop to throw together a generic cockpit for it. Here it is.

I got the engines installed yesterday. More pictures later.

Great cockpit! Are you going with a glass or open cockpit so we can see it?
