I like Photobucket. It's pretty easy to use and sort pics. I have a fiarly slow connection so uploading can be a royal pain.

Yippee! It's finally done. This build is really special to me. It's an exact (well, as exact as I could get it) replica of the T-33 that is currently housed at the Strategic Air and Space Museum here in Nebraska. I deffinately have to give Rob a HUGE thank you because he provided me with a couple of very helpful tutorials on how to easily use photoshop to repaint a model. I should also say that Rob designed to actual model too! Hope you like it :D

All but a couple of the practice builds I did to check the line up of split insignia.

Everyone seems to be building Buffaloes, so here are some pix of mine that I finished up Monday.

For what seems to be an easy build, I really struggled with this one, especially the wing to fuse joint.

I did a bit of detailing on it: dropped the flaps and elevators, added guns, gunsight, pitot tube, antenna, cocked the rudder to port, painted the prop, and painted the walk areas on the wing black. I also changed the generic version to a real plane by adding fuse numbers and dropping the spinner for a hub like the real one (Google Images).

I used Testors Zinc Chromate Primer for the interior surfaces of the cowl and flaps (its close enough to interior green to use if you detail the cockpit), silver markers for the hub, black marker for the prop, and a Testors yellow paint marker for the tips. For you "paper purists" what's the difference in applying colored ink with a printer and paint with a brush?

Bob

This is my second repaint. My first was the C-47 from my first post. But the T-33 was much less painful, and almost two months shorter. It only took me about 8 hours to do this one.

Thanks for the good words. My next repaint project will be the H-19/ S-55. The local museum has one of those too. I will of course make a matching scheme. Eventually I plan to have a mini museum of the real museum. 8)

Also, I just finished my rough build of my H-19 repaint. I should have final pics in a day or so.
