Hey John!!!! Glad to see ya back Bud. Nice lookin P-38 you got there  That's a tough one to build. A real old hand drawn model. A lot of fit problems. However, you did a bang up job. Very nice lookin model. You did er proud!!!! 8)

Great stuff John! I can't imagine how you got that stuff to line up in that small of a scale. Bravo!

Thanks guys!

yeah, the '38 has a ton of fit problems, but at that scale you there not as noticeable. I think Aaron was thinking of redrawing/designing the lightning at some point. (hint, hint)

Really nice! I would love to see this one re-drawn as its a favorite plane of mine, and so far I have had no luck in building it.

I do have plans, it just won't be as an FG model.

No, I'm not dead, just very busy. Did manage to finish up the BT-9 a while back though. Trimmed the canopy a bunch for a better fit, otherwise built in stock kit form.
Model is approx. 1/112th scale.

Nice build, you must have itsy-bitsy fingers to make those wheels

Thanks guys. And Beard, various sized wood rods make excellent wheel formers. :P

All I need now is more Ink, and I'll be back in business.

Very nice build you have shared with us. Any chance we can see a little bit more and maybe next to a ruler to get an idea of the scale? I know, I ask too much at time. Thank you for the build. wc

Might be able to get a few more shots later. To get an idea of scale, the wingspan is about 5 3/8", haven't measured how long it is. :P

P-38 and BT-9 is very pretty builds. BT-9 is a bit unprecise, but is only papermodel about this subject. In the future I intent improved version.
