hay y'alls,

heres a cpl more "scrap builds" I finished last week, a F6F Hellcat:

and a the large 29 version of the F4U-1 Corsair minus the landing gear

OldMan, I wanna fix the color shifting on the F4F (notice the purple landing gear & the pinkish lower flaps) before I build a display model of it with hidden white edges, the one I just built was a test/practice model.

I like 'em! I tried building the standard F4U Corsair the other day, but I had such a nightmare with the wings that I binned it. I later discovered the '29' version which looks much more precise, so I'll give that a go sometime soon. I hope it turns out ok coz the Corsair is one of my favourite planes :).

Nice models, John, especially the Wildcat from a while back.

a cpl ones I did a few of weeks ago, a T-bird F-100 super sabre,

and a F-86 sabre,

thay were both rather easy builds, the F-100 being the harder one of the two.

Excellent work again! I agree that the F-100 is the trickier of the two. Still a fairly simple build though. Good job :D

Very Nice.

I've got that F-100 printed out and I have been meaning to build it for a year now. Yours has inspired me to get started.

That's a fantastic looking F-100 you've got there, the F-86 is pretty darned good too! :D What's that in the Super Sabre's nose - plasticine, clay?!

You've got a very nice collection of models there John - great stuff!

yup, acts as a nose wait for free-flight gliding, which the F-100 dose very well!

Just finished my 1:87 BW B-17 to-day, hopefully I can get a few better pics of it soon.

used short langths of brass wire for the guns, and I cheeted and used clear plastic prop discs instead of airportkid's super deatailed props as some of the hub parts were to microscopic to for me to build!!
