Incredibleski!

Say, this is important, by what sublime magic did that multi-hued metallic Mig in the left foreground get created? Metallic paper of some kind? Different shades of grey on a gloss paper? It's an incredibly realistic effect.

The natural metal aircraft was done in several steps, involving Red River metallic silver paper,
Testors dullcote, various shades of pastel chalk, SNJ silver powder, and waterslide decals.
You can read the whole process in the link in the first post.

Thanks everyone for your kind comments!

The third model up on the left has a canopy that looks to me to be a bit smaller than the others. Did you change it, or is that just a trick of the light and the percpective in the photo? (I always thought the canopy looked a wee bit big on the model).

Tim- If I remember correctly, that might be one of the Migs that's not an FG model. Ray had a few that were from other vendors in there.

That is absolutely correct! Both of ya. That model is a scan and rescale of a CFM/Verlag repaint of the GPM Mig-21. I picked that kit up at the
Sinsheim modelbau fest while in Germany. Now that was a show!
