Well it looked really good until I decided to spray it with a clear coat. It really messed up the rigging. How do you like the prop?

Tried to start the Dc-3 tonight. BOTCHED. I did not have a very good time with it. Nothing seemed to fit together, bummer. I do not know if i will try again. I think that I will try that sub that lep just built.

HUM :? I see what you mean about the rigging. :( I'd try cutting off the rigging and try rerigging it :) Nice looking model it would be ashame to flush it. :( BTW, Great job on the prop, and the canopy  I've never tryed the spraying thing before. Does that work very well :?: (Except for the rigging I mean) What do you use :?: Hope you're able to save the Gee Bee 8)

Thanks Bob. I ended up doing just as you said with the rigging. It looks good. And I made a new canopy for it. I just use a clear paper spray that I found at hobby lobby. It takes about 5 coats to make it look good. I tried to post a picture but the site keeps saying that the file is too big so maybe I will try later.

Well that one worked but it was a crappy one. Oh well, you get the idea. You can't tell in this pic but the plane is super shiny. I have mixed feelings about the clear coat though.

Oh Ya 8) That looks much better. Glad to see you saved it. :) Is that metalic thread :?: sorta looks like it. I started doing all my rigging with the metalic thread. Doesn't seem to droop as much over time like most regular thread does

Thanks. At least it is presentable now. I built the Bell model 30 last night. I did not like the way it turned out so I don't think I am going to post it. The rigging is just regular grey thread that I got at the dollar store. Good idea on the metallic rigging though, That would look a little more realistic and if it does not sag over time that is even better.

Very nice models! Hey, I really like that radial that you used for the Dr-1. Where did you get that engine? I am in the process of building 12 of those things but not with the radial. Is it custom or a download? thanks.

If you like your planes shiny, try using glossy Brochure and Flyer paper (I use HP). Gives a shine that is scale and I've had good luck with it.

This is my start to the flying circus. One is made out of a cream soda can though.... so I don't think it counts.

I love the creme soda version the best! Great job on it! I did that one out of Classic coke to give that Red Baron look and it comes out just stunning every time! Here is what it looks like:

Wow Nice Coke fokker! Looks like the wings are just a single sheet of aluminum? I folded mine but the single sheet looks excellent. Defiantly a lot cleaner.

@Bob they are WSAM scale thanks for the complements :D .

@ willygoat Thanks! Smooth and creamy circus that combo of words sounds like some sort of bad dream
