That is one ot two beautiful airplanes/airplane.??? Not sure how that goes. Did I understand you correctly when you said New Cubs?? As in was the area under the wing where the fuselage next up get corrected? I really like you build Willy. That's a monster. I wounder if she could e made R/C? What that be a gas? Very nice idea and very well build t from what I can see. Your making it hard for me to stay away from her. My first love you know even if some of the words I used back then are still ringing in my ears. And the wife's as well. If she is corrected then I will have to revisit it after the Nave Stearman is done. wc

Ooooooo. That Staggerwing Super Cub is awesome!! Did you take the super cub nose and put it on the old one?

Waddy, I think the trick to the new Cub models is to score and slightly fold the fuselage on the lines that are marked with the tiny blue dots. By shaping the fuselage on those marks, the wing lines up properly, more or less.

I used the Super Cub yellow version and printed two wings. I used the skis although the tundra tires might have been cool also. Next is to do something with the L-4 model which was essentially a Cub.

I was thinking more of a Brodie System equipped plane.

That would be sweet! You gonna build the ship and rigging to go along with it?!?

This is pretty neat! I dont know if I will have time to build a Cub; right now I have three "must" builds already in the hopper. And nothing comes to mind that I could do to a Cub that hasnt already been done. But I may see if I can at least do a repaint.

With the availability of virtually everything from skis to tundra tires to what-ever the imagination can come up with there should be numerous versions of the cub that can be done. An attack version of the L-4 with a Lewis Gun out the back and rocket rocket pods, maybe a Stubby Cubby version, repaints galore such as a graffiti version. How about an electronic surveillance version, or a bomb carrying version. A twin tail or twin engine version, or an amphibian version like a Lake Aircraft with the engine atop the wing. Only thing stopping us is a lack of imagination. As long as it can be recognized as a Fiddlers Green Cub the skies the limit. Onward to the next one.

Love the Auto Gyro! OK, I got a few ideas today while walking to work. I will see if I have time on the weekend to make something up quick.

I also thought about doing a repaint and as usual have now gone totally overboard with that project. I found a single picture of what I thought was a Cub in Isreali markings. But it turns out it was a PA-18 and now I am deep into repainting and redrawing (or trying to) the Old B&W Grasshopper so it looks something like an Israeli Defense Force Super Cub.

Got a test build done. Doh! I was so focused on the "art" of the repaint I didnt notice the text is backwards! Oh well, that is easily fixed at least.

Thank you for the input on the wing problem I had with the cub Willy. I know I have to come back to it. It's like business undone. Having fun with the Stearman right now. I do have photos to post later. All of these Cub are so d**n cool. Just something about it and it's history. Great Cub guys, thanks for sharing. wc
