That constant chord wing looks like a SeaBee converted to a Twin Bee ---

Hey. I started the game! 8) 8) 8)

However, I'm happy to abide by a rule we created in another similar game - if you know the answer immediately, without research, right off the top of your head, then demur and let someone else have a crack.

I did have to research the SeaBee - didn't know that right off. That was a clever crop and I thought Widgeon too, until I started to look at it more closely.

I don't have scissors or a snapshot handy at the moment, the field's open for someone else to post ---

Give it another go, Cmdr!

PS - I have a very sensitive eye for subtle differences between aircraft, so that when I see a Staggerwing, for example, I can tell whether it's a B, C, D or G just from its lines (other models require knowing what engine it has). So imagine how I felt when, after showing my next door neighbor my Cessna 150, I showed him a Staggerwing as an example of the airplane I hope to own, and he asked "what's the difference?" To him, the Beech was just another little airplane indistinguishable from the Cessna!

Not from a photo but an oil painting (the full picture is stunning if you find it) --- from a grand aviation exploit that made world headlines at the time, now today competely forgotten ---

Note to RyanShort (and others): if you know this off the top of your head give others a chance to search it out before posting an instantaneous answer ---

Wonder why I got singled out there...:? There's plenty of aircraft I don't know - that Twin Seabee was a stumper! It's just that sometimes the crop isn't as difficult as other times! And yes, I'm pretty sure I've got that one figured out. Grew up reading a book that had them in it.

Tim's got it. The website below is one of several that recount that long forgotten exploit in 1933. (Didn't mean to "single" you out, Ryan, it's just that you & I got into a rapid to & fro several posts back so wanted to alert you to the (new) rule to hold back if you knew the answer straight off).

http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/history/mak ... og3b.shtml

Making good crops is a challenge - you have to have enough so what's showing is unambiguous, (and enough also to hang Google queries on), yet not so much as to give it away. Man, can you imagine trying to play this game WITHOUT Google??!! The mind boggles.
