Guys, I'm gonna drop a BS-bomb on the backstory of #1. AFAIK, neither the UK nor SA fly Blackhawks, especially not Blackhawks with MH-packages that include air-refueling probes.

I've seen some A/C damage pictures that would make your hair stand on end. Especially B-17's returning from bombing raids.

I read a story by a member of a B-17 crew. After returning from a bombing raid they realized the only thing holding the tail on were the cables for the control surfaces.

One of the pictures on the site in shows a B-17 that collided with a fighter. There is a gash in the tail that goes from top to bottom.
